Koomoe Fox
View photo session →15th November
The head is waiting for gluing the frame inside and following that we will attach the ears.
16th November
We began cutting out and stitching the jumpsuit.
17th-18th November
Acquired a powerful rotary clipper. The frame was completely made and we have the opportunity to make the ears (in the photo they are not fully finished). The frame was slightly redesigned to accommodate large fans in the ear area. The powerful clipper arrived — now we are equipped to work with very dense fur (which is this case).
24th November
Completed the production of handpaws. We continue to sew the overalls of the fursuit. The head was glued inside with fleece. For the lips, a special shape was given to accommodate the upper canines. For these canines a framework was provided to reliably hold them.
28th November
The nose blank was made on the head blank. Internal fleece gluing was done. Started manufacturing feetpaws. The unitard was sewn and is waiting for the pads to correctly mark the "rib" pattern. Fleece patterns for the inside of the head were made by gluing tape. Feetpaw production began.
30th November
Nose was pasted with fleece. Before gluing the fur, only the eyes remain to be done.
5th December
The ears were pasted inside with fleece and ribs stylized as ear folds were made. Eyes are in manufacture. Feetpaws are 70% ready.
8th December
The eyes were made. A few photos below. Making feetpaws with rubber soles was finished.
12th December
The ventilation was mounted. All linings will be mounted inside before pasting the fur on the head. Started production of the wings. The coverall now looks like this (in the photo). Before tightening with elastic bands to make the suit slender, all details must be sewn, since the "contraction" would interfere with determining the present position of details on the suit. Linings for the exoskeleton are now ready and will be installed at the end of the assembly.
27th December
The first try-on of the overalls. At the moment the sleeves were made narrower in the area of the gloves and the position of the tail was changed. Further the overalls will be trimmed and hidden pockets will be sewn. The wings may be stretched. The head is being glued with fur...
29th December
Just a demonstration of the head (clickable images). The eye tracking was interesting, so there are photos from different angles with slight differences.
1-5 January
Tabs were added for the thumb on the sleeves, so that when lifting the heavy wings the sleeves do not pull down. The sleeves were tapered at the ends and shaved, so as not to interfere with dressing the handpaws. Handpaws now dress over the jumpsuit sleeves. Small incisions were added to the handpaws to include the ends of the wings — this masks the transition from handpaws to sleeves. Inside the suit a small inner pocket was made. Strong support straps were sewn to the overalls. The great weight at the front of the overalls pulled them forward. To remove the load from the collar seams and make them durable, webbing was sewn to the vertical seams of the overalls. Upper leg pillows have two positions for attachment to improve the appearance of the character for different heights of fursuiter (between 68" and 76"). An apron was sewn to the head. This apron consists of two parts so the jaw can be removed. On the front apron a pocket was made for the fan power source. Upper canines and lower teeth were mounted. Tongue mounts were made (three pieces per set, different).
